huge hispanic voting. you can see the speech on foxnews.com where it is streaming. carl cameron is live in los angeles. what is the message to the latinos? >>carl: the president has not been able to deliver a strong economy for hispanic or any other voters in the united states. mr. romney will make the art his proposals are better and point out that president obama has a candidate promised to make illegal immigration reform a priority. in romney's prepared remarks he will say the obama administration never bothered to come up with a bill. he will argue that the latino community has been hard hit bit obama economy insofar as the unemployment rate is 8.1 percent but among hispanics it is well over 10. this is an attempt by romney to emphasize his economic experience, his ability to create jobs is superior to the president and will help out on the domestic agenda. the romney campaign is trying now to illustrate to reporters and the public that it will make itself available on a host of other issues and be prepared to deal with the news of the day and the cycle and the world, particularly i
tonight. first, let's get to carl cammeron he is live in miami. it sounds like governor romney went on the offensive today. >> well, dueling sound bites and campaigns. romney took the opportunity to counter offensive really going after president obama for his assertion that a government system needs to be designed that could pool resources to better affect the redistribution. romney went at him hard today, as did all republicans with ads and videos and direct mail and radio and tv commercials. watch. >> this idea of redistribution follows from the idea that if you have a business you didn't build it someone else did that the president saying yes he believes in redistribution. i don't. i believe the way to lift people and to help people have higher incomes is not to take from some and give to others. but to create wealth for all of us. well, the romney campaign plans to release ads, videos as i said and around the country trying to add it in congressional and senate races thinking it could be a unifying battle cry for the final six weeks. >> that said some conservatives are is still
returns. he didn't do that. they said no. they didn't do it. carl cameron is live in los angeles where the governor is campaigning. what do we know of the 201 taxes? >>carl: well, we will see the actual documents. it will be hundreds or thousands of pages stick. adjusted gross income $13.6 million for 2011. the tax rate was $1.9 million, which is 14.1 percent. charitable donations, $4 million, which is 30 percent of adjusted growth income but only claimed $2.25 million as charity. they could have taken a bigger one and decided not to. the 1990 to 2009 average tax rate to the romneys was 20.2 percent. he said he had never paid less than 13.5 percent this year he was asked by a reporter if he could guarantee he never paid less than that, he said he could. the reason he did not choose to take the full $4 million charitable deduction and only took half, in doing so he was able to make sure that his tax rates stayed over 14 percent. if he took the full $4 million charitable donation deduction it could have been as low as 12 percent or, perhaps, even 9 percent. he did not do that to keep the

's bring in fox news analyst carl rove who joins us tonight from washington. let's take ohio and florida first. do you believe the polling today? >> no, i don't. and for a very good reason. let's take florida first. got the white board for you. little bit of context here. the biggest poll that we -- the most important thing about a poll is its partisan matrix. the division between republicans, democrats and independents. the biggest poll that we have to understand what the partisan matrix is about are the exit polls. in 2008, florida had three points more democrats than republicans. and in 2004, it had 4 points less democrats than republicans. more republicans than democrats voted in 2004. in 2 point damage to the democrats. the cbs "new york times" poll has 9 points more democrats than republicans. do we really think that the democrat margin over republicans in florida is going to be three times what it was in 2008? that is to say the democrats are that much more wired up? no that's not going to happen. >> wait. let me answer. so the logical question is and the "new york times" didn't h

correspondent, carl cameron in boston. virginia has a lot of military jobs. how did romney use that to appeal to old dominion voters today? >> very deliberate, as a matter of fact. he was down in virginia beach, an area where there is lots of military families, active and retired. a big, big part of the economy. also a big part of the economy in northern virginia. around washington, d.c what he was doing was two pronged approach. trying to appeal to pocketbook issues for people who do depend on those types of military-relatessed jobs, but also to american heart strings and make the argument that the american military deserves better support. and what mr. romney did was essentially take the president to task for the idea of so-called sequestration which refers to the fiscal cliff the government would face in january if no strong steps were taken to cut spending, automatic spending cuts kick in. >> the estimates of the kind of numbers of jobs lost in virginia from these cuts is between 100 and 200,000. it's unthinkable. it's unthinkable to virginia, our employment needs, but also unthinkable to
